From 1999–2000 through 2017–2018, the prevalence of obesity increased from 30.5% to 42.4%, and the prevalence of severe obesity increased from 4.7% to 9.2%. Obesity has been linked to drastic increases in the risk of heart problems, immune dysfunction, lung issues, diabetes, and contracting more severe forms of many viruses – including Covid 19.

This has helped cause an overtaxed and overworked healthcare sector, as well as an almost complete dependence on the health insurance and drug industries. Health care has never been more expensive, nor has the path to care been more convoluted and frustrating for our American citizens.

A more proactive approach is certainly the answer, but unfortunately, due to affordability or lack of awareness, our great nation is often left in the dark when it comes to preventative measures. We the people need to take control of our health, as relying solely on the ridiculously profitable insurance and drug companies is no longer a viable option.

So What If Healthcare Looked Different?

Healthcare in our country is reactive, confusing, and expensive. Millions of people rely on medication for health conditions, but did you that many of those health conditions are preventable? For example, Type 2 Diabetes is preventable and can even be reversed!

Our Health Initiative seeks to educate communities on the importance and impact of proactive health measures. Our team of health professionals and doctors bring education and awareness to those who lack the access and resources to help themselves. Our goal is to empower people to take control of their health so they can spend less money on healthcare, and spend more time enjoying a higher quality of life.
